Carson’s Food & Drink Wins “Top 100” Brunch Spots in America

We are no strangers to the deliciousness that is Carson’s Food & Drink in Lexington, KY.

We happened to stop there during one of our trips after being told by literally every single soul we crossed that day that we HAD to stop by Carson’s if we were going to do any footage in Lexington, KY.

We were absolutely blown away by the sheer quality of every cocktail and dish we enjoyed. Each item brought to our table was instagrammable, and each item tasted just as good as it looked. They took classic southern fare and elevated it into a high-dining experience.

That’s when we met the owner, Mark Fichtner.

He had an incredible passion for whiskey, food, friends, and family (naming the restaurant after his son, Carson).

Those were all things we could get behind, and he couldn’t have been more of a down-to-earth and humble guy considering his restaurant is consistently packed and receiving continuous accolades at both the national and local levels.

When we went back up for footage, Mark was kind enough to invite us to brunch with him. And, I can honestly say, we weren’t ready for that brunch. From the Buffalo Trace Cold Brew, to the Chicken & Waffles, everything was unbelievably insane. On top of all of that, Mark decided to officially support Whiskey Culture by coming on as one of our newest partners!

That being said, it seems we’re hardly the only ones that share the sentiment of how delicious of a spot this really is.

OpenTable, the top online reservations platform and one of the largest food rating websites has released their list of the “Top 100 Brunch Restaurants In America,” and, wouldn’t you know it, Carson’s made the cut.

But, they didn’t just make the cut, they placed 27th on the list out of the over 60,000 restaurants on the platform.

Carson’s also has a rotating menu of both food and cocktails, meaning you can continue to enjoy their staple offerings, but also have something new to try each time you’re on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

Their classic cocktails, like the Woodford Old Fashioned and the Sazerac are amazing.

But they have other, more exotic cocktails, like the Bee’s Knees, the Watermelon Martini, or the Old Fashioned Honey that are sure to offer you options to satisfy your sweet-tooth.

Also, whatever you do, make sure to order the Buffalo Trace Cold Brew and the Fried Biscuits, you won’t regret either!
