Buffalo Trace Distillery is most likely one of the first distilleries any whiskey enthusiast will learn about. It’s also, very likely, the first distillery that enthusiasts will be obsessed with. From Blanton’s to Weller, Buffalo Trace makes some of the most coveted and highly sought-after expressions in the whiskey market today.
Weller Full Proof takes all the delicious Weller flavors you love and amps them up to 11. This is one of those expressions that really shines and gets everything right. So, I’m excited to share my thoughts with you.

Notes & Review
Nose: The nose is full and viscous with really sweet scents. Vanilla, caramel, and bubble gum pave the way for a wake of more classic and savory scents like tobacco, cracked black pepper, and roasted oak.
Palate: The palate, while bold, also has a sweetness to back it up. You get a vanilla spice alongside a little baked toffee, there’s a little herbal note in there that’s a tad minty and vegetal. There’s a little bit of menthol followed by baking spice and a nutty note.
Finish: The finish is short and vegetal with a forward note of menthol. This is followed by flavors of cinnamon, oak, and spice.
Review:
This is an incredible bottle, one that is delicious and full of big flavor. It’s insane to me that this mash bill used to be considered a lower-shelf entry. Now, you can’t find it on a shelf anywhere, and it’s considered a premium entry. / /
Weller Full Proof takes everything you love about the Weller line and amps it up to 11. There are big flavors, of course, and there’s a little heat, but definitely not the heat you’d expect with a 114-proof expression. / /
The expression is one that I would definitely recommend. I am a fan of Weller 107, but am underwhelmed by the lower proof of Weller 12. However, I would highly recommend this bottle, even if you find it a bit above MSRP. For having a usual price of around $70 when you can find it, it drinks up there with some of the bigger boys.
